Reishauer Group acquires 100% of the company shares and business activities of Felsomat GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Königsbach-Stein (Germany). Felsomat has its own sales and service companies in the USA, India and the United Kingdom. (www.felsomat.de).

In recent years, Felsomat Group has newly defined its range of services and consis­tently concentrated on the development of highly productive machine tools for the complete manufacture of the core components in the drive train. As a systems sup­plier, Felsomat offers the entire process-engineering for gear manufacturing. The production process is implemented together with the customer with in-house devel­oped, modularly configurable turning and hobbing cells. The total processing time is customized and optimized by using flexible automation and logistics systems. Felso­mat develops and manufactures a turning center for soft and hard machining, a hob­bing machine with concurrent chamfering and deburring processes, and integrated automation and work piece logistics.

Felsomat Group -with its technological expertise in the gear cutting process -per­fectly complements the business activities of Reishauer whose technological compe­tence is in the area of generating grinding and dressing technology. Together both companies target the global automotive industry and the automotive supplier industry. Recently, its requirements and specifications have changed significantly with the large transmission manufacturers looking for companies, which are able to offer turn­key future-oriented multifunctional production systems, as global systems suppliers of entire process chains, with the aim of:

• shortest lead times in the increasingly varied production
• reduction of costs per piece due to sustainable highly efficient production sys­tems and a simultaneous increase in product quality and production flexibility.

Reishauer Group develops, produces and globally markets high precision gear grind­ing machines and diamond dressing tools for the end-finishing of transmission gears. Currently Reishauer Group employs 500 staff worldwide.

The largest subsidiary, Reishauer AG, with headquarters in Wallisellen, Switzerland, develops and manufactures gear grinding machines, diamond and CBN tools. These are marketed, installed and serviced by our own sales companies and service cen­ters in the main markets Germany, USA, Japan, China and India. The main customer group is the globally intercon-nected automotive industry and its suppliers. This spe­cialized gear manufacturing group ac-quires over three quarters of Reishauer ma­chine systems for the integration into its manu-facturing processes.
